Apni Party Ashraf Mir’s nephew joins PDP
Mehbooba says BJP is afraid of PDP

Srinagar, Jan 10, KNT: The nephew of Apni Party leader and former minister Muhammad Ashraf Mir joined Peoples Democratic Party on Monday.

Zuhaib Yousuf Mir and other new entrants were welcomed by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and other party leaders.

Zuhaib Yousuf Mir on the occasion said that the way things unfolded since the abrogation of special status of Jammu and Kashmir makes it amply clear that Mehbooba Mufti is the real voice of people of Kashmir who are an oppressed lot.

He said Mehbooba Mufti raises the issues concerning people at a time when others prefer to remain silent.

Zuhaib is the nephew of former PDP leader Muhammad Ashraf Mir who had joined Apni Party in 2020.

While talking to reporters, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said that BJP is afraid of PDP. She said the 10 leaders of the party were booked for alleged Covid-19 SOPs violation while no such rules apply for BJP. He said PDP will fight for the restoration of Article 370 and resolution of Kashmir issue.

“Thousands of people have lost their lives in Kashmir. The Kashmir issue needs to be resolved and time will come when the Government of India will agree and start a dialogue process,” she said. (KNT)
